What you'll do

Coordinate, plan and manage construction projects across the Woolworths portfolio. Supervise and mentor a team of Project Managers. Focus on continuous improvement in contractor and program management, construction safety, and project execution.

  • Ensure project lifecycle is delivered on time and within budget, following the latest store design kit.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers. Provide clear direction, set expectations, delegate tasks, conduct performance reviews, and offer ongoing feedback and coaching.
  • Engage with stakeholders including renewal managers, equipment project managers, construction, refit teams, contractors, and shopfitters.
  • Manage project finances, including cost reporting, forecasting, and variations.
  • Oversee construction activities, attend meetings, finalize contracts, arrange agreements, undertake project closeouts, conduct quality inspections, and manage financial matters.
  • Manage all appointed contractors, ensure site safety, and resolve on-site issues.

What you'll bring

  • Strong experience in Construction Project Management from end to end.
  • Previous experience managing or mentoring a team.
  • Experience in retail supermarket environments, property, etc.
  • Understanding of construction management methodologies and principles.
  • Qualifications in Construction Management or a construction-based trade are advantageous.
  • Flexibility to travel regionally in SA, NT, and WA for site meetings and inspections.
  • Construction industry white card and driver's license.
