Overview

Astek has been providing IT and Engineering solutions for more than 35 years with 10,000 experts in 22 countries. Currently, we are looking for an Application Support Specialist/Officer based in Melbourne, Australia.

Responsibilities and requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 5-10 years of relevant experience in an IT trading environment
  • Experience and knowledge about trading and/or portfolio management processes
  • Experience in live monitoring and application support of large IT systems
  • Good technical knowledge of Windows environments, SQL, scripting skills, and production monitoring
  • Monitor the global IT platform and execute actions when alerts are raised
  • Process (analyze, solve, document) incidents
  • Coordinate incident resolution with Singapore and Paris teams when necessary
  • Maintain monitoring systems and continuously share ideas to improve effectiveness
  • Participate in writing or enhancing operational procedures related to monitoring alerts
  • Engage in a Follow-the-Sun model with Europe, including information sharing and task handover
  • Follow the evolution of the IT platform (releases) and adapt monitoring tools and procedures
  • Collect user feedback on system Run Quality and share it with development teams
