Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.

You'll be at the heart of action, supporting our passionate Occupational Therapy team along with two other Allied Health services, working side by side with professionals who are changing lives.

From assisting with transfers and mobility to co-facilitating engaging group programs, your contribution will help shape better outcomes for our patients and a stronger community.

What you will bring to the role:
  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or relevant equivalent qualification or willingness to complete the required skills and competencies for the role.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in manual handling of patients and equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and organise a busy workload
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake clinical duties with patients once delegated and operate with minimal direct supervision
  • Computer literacy, with the ability to use office, email, and electronic patient record systems
  • Current drivers licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.

Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
