Be Part of Something Bigger: The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to join our executive team. This role ensures that clients and families receive high-quality, safe, and person-centred services, while supporting the organisation's growth and compliance with NDIS and legislative standards.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will oversee and support Service Delivery, the Clinical Lead, Human Resources, Safety and Quality, and Business Services. This includes strategic leadership, governance, workforce management, compliance oversight, and business continuity. You will work closely with the CEO, Service Delivery Manager, Clinical Lead, HR Coordinator, and Safety & Quality Coordinator to operationalise the strategic direction set by the Board, while ensuring Breakaway's reputation for safe, respectful, and inclusive care.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive oversight of service delivery, ensuring high standards of quality, person-centred care, and compliance.
  • Support and supervise the Clinical Lead, HR Coordinator, Safety & Quality Coordinator, and Business Services Coordinator.
  • Oversee governance and compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, restrictive practices, reportable incidents, PBSPs, QCAT requirements, and WHS obligations.
  • Manage operational budgets, monitor income and expenditure, and provide high-quality reports to the CEO, executive team, and Board.
  • Lead and support workforce systems covering recruitment, performance, Workcover, and industrial compliance.
  • Strengthen relationships with clients, families, carers, and key stakeholders, ensuring inclusive and strength-based service delivery.
  • Contribute to a positive organisational culture, modelling enthusiasm, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Provide on-call executive support for exceptional or major incidents.
  • Be a cultural champion, modelling Breakaway's values of Integrity, Respect, Teamwork, Trust and Family, and embedding these across service delivery and workforce practices.
What You Bring to the Role
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an executive management role, managing multiple service streams concurrently.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams to deliver set outcomes.
  • Strong organisational, governance, and time management skills.
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience managing compliance across NDIS, WHS, HR, and business operations.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget oversight and reporting.
  • Proficiency in administration, information systems, and Board-level reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a cultural leader and role model, fostering a values-driven, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.
  • Current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain).
