The OpportunityWe are looking for an experienced Payroll Lead to be part of our Pay Accuracy program. You'll take charge of ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant quality assurance across a workforce with over 100 Enterprise Agreements. You will lead a small team of experts reviewing payroll and Kronos data to ensure employees are paid in accordance with EA requirements, and recommend improvements to enhance future compliance. You will also manage relationships with stakeholders to improve pay accuracy and EA rule awareness.
Key Responsibilities include:- Manage the delivery of a major workstream focused on Payroll and Time & Attendance activities.
- Lead a team of payroll and Kronos experts performing quality assurance on pay accuracy and EA compliance, organizing their workload and ensuring deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with industrial instruments, payroll legislation, and EA provisions.
- Collaborate with Data and Analytics teams to ensure pay modeling accuracy.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payroll queries promptly.
- Identify potential solutions, gain stakeholder agreement, and document risks associated with payroll processes.
- Support business units with pay solutions that facilitate EA pay rule compliance.
- Regularly review and improve payroll processes for efficiency.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
You are an experienced payroll professional with a strong understanding of payroll systems, legislation, and stakeholder engagement. You will bring:
- Proven leadership in payroll management and staff development in high-volume environments.
- Deep knowledge of statutory payroll requirements, legislation, and salary packaging.
- Ability to interpret Awards, EBAs, and industrial instruments.
- Experience with Time & Attendance and Payroll systems.
- Experience with large organizational payroll systems and compliance projects preferred.
- Familiarity with data models and payroll processes.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop effective relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of LSL legislation, redundancy calculations, PAYG, and reconciliations.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in validating payroll models and managing payroll resources.
