Job DescriptionAs the Performance Manager overseeing our QantasLink operations, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring a team of Ground Staff in achieving the QGS people and business objectives. This role is pivotal in driving team performance, engagement, and development, as well as applying account management skill sets.
You'll be responsible for managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruitment and onboarding, performance, attendance management, fitness for work, and disciplinary matters, fostering a high-performing and engaged workforce. With a strong focus on communication and capability development, you'll support individuals and teams to meet performance criteria and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Oversee QantasLink operations and lead a team of Ground Staff to achieve QGS people and business objectives.
- Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruitment and onboarding, performance, attendance, fitness for work, and disciplinary matters.
- Foster a high-performing and engaged workforce with a focus on communication, capability development, and continuous improvement.
- Lead and inspire a team of Ground Staff to achieve QGS people and business objectives in a performance-focused environment.
- Drive results in a highly regulated environment in partnership with stakeholders and the wider Qantas Ground Services team.
- Based at Sydney Airport in a full-time permanent capacity.
- 4+ years' experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams, with strong leadership in a 'just culture' environment
- Exceptional communication, engaging effectively with stakeholders, peers, and frontline staff
- Proven case management and employee performance oversight, including disciplinary, attendance, and fitness-for-work matters
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, using data to drive decisions and facilitate outcomes
- Highly organised and resilient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and motivate others under pressure
- Sound judgment, discretion, and integrity, with a commitment to confidentiality and coaching others
