Role Description

BDA is looking for a Supply Chain Support Specialist who will join the 1SQN Training Flight team. In this role you will provide direct support to technicians managing periodic maintenance and modification of F/A-18 Fleets. The position will be responsible for fulfilling customer demands and other inventory management responsibilities associated with aeronautical products. Shift work is a requirement of this role and there are also opportunities for in country deployments twice a year for a period not exceeding 3 weeks if desired. This is an excellent opportunity to commence their Supply Chain career within the Defence Industry. This role is based at RAAF Base Amberley.


Responsibilities
  • Monitor area stock levels for high demand items.
  • Order and return items from/to primary warehouse locations and monitor delivery.
  • Receipting items.
  • Assist with stocktaking.
  • Hasten overdue orders.
  • Oversee shelf-life managed items.
  • Assist with managing and disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Participate in activities to optimise stock replenishments and holdings.

About You
  • Current High Risk Work license for LF. (Essential)
  • Valid C Class vehicle license. (Essential)
  • Demonstrated communication skills (Essential)
  • Must be able to acquire NV1 security clearance. (Essential)
  • Understanding of shelf-life management, quarantine control and hazardous product management. (Highly Desirable)
  • Understanding of Defence Logistic Experience (Desirable)
  • Understanding of Defence information management systems, i.e. CAMM2, LNIDS. (Desirable)

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security vetting requirements for Global Trade Controls.
