The Group Engineering Manager is a key leadership role within the SWSLHD Capital Works and Infrastructure. The District Engineering service is responsible for engineering operations, onsite activities, maintenance and projects, workforce planning and management, compliance, WHSE (Work Health Safety and Environmental), asset management, redevelopment interfaces, reporting, and services (electrical, HV, gas, data/security/BMS, mechanical, hydraulic, etc). The role involves emergency response management and provides leadership across multi-disciplinary engineering and maintenance services and project works.
What You'll Be DoingThe Group Engineering Manager is responsible for the daily operation and function of multi-disciplinary district engineering and maintenance services and project works within SWSLHD Capital Works and Infrastructure. Key areas include facility and asset management, utilities, reporting, compliance, management of contracts and resources (direct maintenance staff and external service providers), minor works projects, and interface with redevelopments and projects. The role reports to the District Engineering Manager and has responsibilities across SWSLHD, including: engineering onsite activities, maintenance (statutory, routine and preventative), minor works / RMR / ARRP, workforce management, projects, compliance, WHSE, asset management, active redevelopments, reporting, district services (electrical, HV, gas, data/security/BMS, mechanical, hydraulic, etc), and emergency response management.

What You Need to Bring- Tertiary qualifications in Facility Management and/or extensive experience in Facility Management.
- Demonstrated initiative, strong organisational skills, ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and prioritise in a high-volume engineering health care environment. Knowledge of the BCA, Australian Standards and codes of practice.
- Experience in engineering, maintenance and project/asset management, including personnel/resource management, procurement policies and procedures, budget/financial management, and coordinating multi-disciplinary groups and external providers across multiple facilities.
- Proficiency with computer-based systems (e.g., BEIMS, AFM Online, Oracle, Health Roster, HPRM, MS Office).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams; ability to articulate schedules, risks and opportunities clearly to decision makers.
- Experience in electrical (LV/HV), mechanical, hydraulics and building services, with a trade background; and relevant qualifications in Facility Management.
- Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). If from another state, obtain NSW C-class license within three months of appointment. Learner licenses not permitted.
