Redpath Mining is seeking a Maintenance Manager 10/4 or 5/2 roster to join our passionate and highly skilled Shaft Sinking Team working at the Appin project in New South Wales.

About The Role

  • 10/4 FIFO or a 5/2 Residential roster
  • FIFO from any capital city in Australia

Working on a range of custom built shaft sinking equipment this is your opportunity to work on a twin blind sink project which is a one of a kind in the Australian Mining industry.

Reporting to the Project Director you will be responsible for:
  • Ensure the planning and execution of the repairs and maintenance of mechanical equipment on site;
  • Ensure all maintenance staff have effective direction, supervision and coaching;
  • Identify and manage risk as required;
  • Ensure systems and processed are in place for the management of breakdowns;
  • Liaise with Client Representatives as required, in a professional manner
  • Coordinate the day to day recording of progress of works
  • Health and safety conscious
  • Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

Skills & Experience
  • Mechanical trade qualification or relevant tertiary qualification
  • Experience in mechanical installation and maintenance in a mining environment;
  • Proven experience with managing a large team of mechanical maintenance personnel;
  • Thorough understanding of inspections and maintenance scheduling;
  • Strong leadership and people management skills;
