About the RoleThe Manager, Justice of the Peace Branch is responsible for the appointment and ongoing training of Justices of the Peace. The position undertakes research and provides advice for the Attorney General, manages the Justice of the Peace Branch projects and develops policy and procedures relating to Justices of the Peace.
Responsibilities- Provides leadership and support to achieve the outcomes of the JP Branch. Maintains a close working partnership with Court management and the judiciary.
- Manages medium to large-scale projects which are complex and sensitive in nature and/or involve significant business change.
- Implements and develops organisational policy and procedures in respect of Justices of the Peace. Contributes to the development of operational level policy in consultation with stakeholders (including judiciary, JP Associations and court managers). Ensures compliance with legislation in respect of Justices of the Peace.
- Assist to manage and procure assets, facilities, technology and systems for the Branch.
- Contributes to the development of budgets and is responsible for effective monitoring and control of the Justice of the Peace Branch budget.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement strategies within the Branch. Participate in identification of initiatives to continuously improve the services provided within the region.
Permanent positions To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the Western Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
