About the role The Manager, Justice of the Peace Branch, is responsible for the appointment and ongoing training of Justices of the Peace.
The role involves conducting research, providing advice to the Attorney General, managing projects, and developing policies and procedures related to Justices of the Peace.
Provide leadership and support to achieve the outcomes of the JP Branch.
Maintain close partnerships with Court management and the judiciary.
Manage medium to large-scale projects that are complex, sensitive, or involve significant change.
Develop and implement organisational policies and procedures regarding Justices of the Peace, in consultation with stakeholders including judiciary, JP Associations, and court managers.
Ensure compliance with legislation concerning Justices of the Peace.
Assist in managing and procuring assets, facilities, technology, and systems for the Branch.
Contribute to budget development and oversee the effective monitoring and control of the Branch budget.
Identify and implement continuous improvement strategies within the Branch and participate in initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Eligibility Permanent positions – To be eligible for appointment in the Western Australian Public Sector, you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
