
Sales Executive, Dermatology

Job Description
The Sales Executive - Dermatology is responsible for executing brand strategy and tactical plans in the field, delivering sales performance, and effectively managing the assigned territory and targeted accounts. You will need to build strong customer relationships and manage customer needs to maximize both short- and long-term sales performance, always placing the patient at the center of efforts and operating within AbbVie's business code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.
NOTE: You will also be required to travel interstate 2-3 times per year for internal conferences and external congresses.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver sales performance, key brand indicators, financial targets, marketing objectives, and other goals to meet or exceed targets.
- Proactively serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win outcomes for both AbbVie and customers.
- Develop and execute a call plan that meets call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Manage multiple brands and indications according to strategy guidance.
- Conduct pre- and post-call analysis to improve sales performance, effectively handle objections, and close sales on every call.
- Build understanding of customer needs, market landscape, competitors, and share this intelligence with the team to align and optimize strategies.
- Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition and develop disease state experts and advocates to maximize brand performance.
- Report any adverse events within 24 hours as per policies.
- Participate in WHS programs, adhere to policies, and promote a safe work environment.
- Adhere to internal codes of conduct and compliance processes.
- Perform other duties such as administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business, or equivalent.
- Experience in specialty sales, ideally in Dermatology or Immunology.
- Proven success in sales with excellent presentation skills.
- In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
- Strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools.
- Ability to adapt sales approach based on customer style and behavior.
- Effective in collaborative environments and leadership roles.
- Influential and respected among peers, with strong partnership skills.
- English proficiency in speaking and writing.
- Success in specialty sales within immunology or dermatology, with knowledge of biologic medicines such as Psoriasis and Atopic Dermatitis highly desired.
Flexibility and availability are essential, with recognition of Australia's 'Right to Disconnect' legislation. Occasional participation in meetings outside standard hours may be required.
