Our client is a federal government organisation with offices throughout Australia. Due to growth, they are seeking a Cyber Security Enablement and Delivery Manager to join their team in Richmond or Geelong.

  • 18-month initial contract plus 18-month extension
  • Hybrid work model with 3 days per week onsite
  • Federal government role – Australian citizenship required
  • Must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 clearance

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct highly complex projects and programs in a dynamic environment.
  • Develop, implement, and manage cyber security resilience projects during a period of significant change, with minimal supervision.
  • Manage branch financial responsibilities, including tracking, reporting, and budget management.
  • Provide clear direction on IT security standards, policies, procedures, and controls to manage risks.
  • Enhance the client's security posture through process improvements, policy development, automation, and capability evolution.
  • Offer high-level subject matter expertise on cyber security during agency procurement activities.
  • Perform other related duties as required based on business needs.
  • Coordinate and support external vendors with cyber risk assessments.
  • Engage regularly with business stakeholders.

Skills and experience required:

  • Demonstrated experience in project or business management roles, preferably in cyber security.
  • Proven leadership abilities.
  • Experience working with technical and non-technical teams in a Cyber GRC context.
  • Extensive engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of or qualifications related to Commonwealth Procurement Rules and contract management.

Desirable criteria:

  • Experience with vendor management.
