Overview:

  • The Aboriginal Health unit is part of the Strategy and Governance Division of the Department of Health and Wellbeing (DHW) and reports to the Deputy Chief Executive.
  • The Executive Coordinator and Project Support Officer will facilitate and coordinate high-quality, confidential executive support for the Chief Aboriginal Health Officer.
  • The role involves developing and coordinating systems and processes within Aboriginal Health to ensure quality administrative functions across the unit.
  • Responsibilities include providing administrative, research, and project support services, managing emails, preparing reports and briefing notes, collecting and analyzing data to resolve complex and sensitive issues.
  • The role also supports Aboriginal Health leadership in delivering complex projects and initiatives, and maintains efficient administrative services including document processing and record management.
  • The position contributes to the Aboriginal Health unit's team and the Department of Health and Wellbeing's business plan.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A 'National Police Certificate' (NPC) or 'Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check' (NCCHC) is required for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups.

Immunisation risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact).

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease policy, including occupational assessment, screening, and vaccination in the workplace.
