Government agency tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking Admin / Receptionists to join their busy team for a 12-month temporary assignment.
About the role
As an Admin / Receptionist, you will provide counter / reception support for the local office, including handling enquiries at self-help kiosks and online support. Your key duties include:
- Manage and resolve matters by actioning planning tasks
- Resolve customer enquiries, provide information, and refer customers to appropriate government or community services
- Manage the team shared email inbox, appointments, and telephone enquiries
- Coordinate appointments using Agency office facilities and ensure accessibility for participants
- Undertake research and investigation activities, and prepare associated reports and correspondence
- Perform data entry activities and ensure follow-up is completed
- Receive and record complaints and other feedback
About you
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Previous experience in administration, reception, or a similar role
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Excellent stakeholder management and customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities
- High attention to detail
Benefits
- Casual 12-month temporary assignment
- ASAP start date pending clearances
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
- $37.36 per hour + super
- Cairns QLD location
- Successful candidates must hold Australian Citizenship and be willing to complete a federal police check
