About The Role

We are looking for a strategic and experienced leader to step into the Integrity Manager position. The role oversees the integrity work across AFL, AFLW, VFL, VFLW and Coates Talent League competitions. It leads the investigative arm of the Integrity Unit and, with the wider team, ensures compliance with AFL Rules, Policies and Regulations through proactive integrity management across all AFL-managed competitions. This role is suited to a senior investigator with around 10 years of experience, preferably with a background in sports integrity, knowledge of safeguarding children legislation nationally, and experience in investigating vilification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing an investigative team in complex, high-profile integrity matters.
  • Knowledge of current legislative and investigative processes, including suspect and witness interviews.
  • Experience in victim management and understanding of wellbeing support services.
  • Deliver high-quality reports and briefs of evidence in a timely manner.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality with a demonstrated record of integrity.
  • High-level computer skills (Word, Excel, case management systems).
  • Availability to work across weekends, after hours and in a flexible, agile environment.
On Any Day You May Be
  • Manage the implementation of strategies and policies to maintain an intelligence-led integrity and investigation service for all AFL competitions.
  • Conduct complex investigations across integrity matters, including interviews, and form recommendations to the Head of Integrity and Security.
  • Assess complaints and provide sound advice to states, leagues and community clubs regarding integrity matters.
  • Develop and implement investigation plans and policies to achieve objectives.
  • Foster relationships with AFL Clubs via Integrity Committees and representatives.
  • Provide strategic guidance to State Leagues on integrity matters.
  • Oversee preparation of investigation reports or briefs of evidence for tribunal hearings or General Counsel decisions.
  • Supervise case management and deploy internal and external resources.
  • Manage audits related to AFL Club compliance with AFL Rules, the AFL Anti-Doping Code and Match Day Restricted Areas.
