We are looking for a Clinical Midwifery Educator to join our friendly team at RPAH

About the Role

Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation's most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national, and international communities.

The Clinical Midwife Educator provides support and clinical development/training to staff while fostering a preceptor/mentor role. The role involves formulating, coordinating, and evaluating unit-based educational programs, as well as assessing and demonstrating clinical procedures.

The aim of the position is to build:

• The capacity of individuals to deliver safe, evidence-based care, incorporating reflective practice with the aim of continual improvement.

A woman and family-focused culture that supports the MUM and staff to deliver innovative models of care and proactively manage change.

The position contributes to the overall improvement of health service delivery.

Ideal Candidate

• Current midwifery registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and relevant post-registration experience in the specialty.
• Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or have Australian Work Rights.
• Holds relevant clinical or education post-registration qualifications, or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.
• Well-developed leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to liaise in a multidisciplinary environment.
