About The Role

Are you looking for variety and purpose in your work? As a casual Disability Support Worker based at Murray Bridge, you'll play a vital role in the planning and provision of a responsive client and family-centred service, providing Hub and In-Home supports. In this hands-on role, you'll use your knowledge and experience supporting people with physical and intellectual disabilities to promote independence, community participation, and meaningful relationships in a safe and supportive environment.

For decades Novita has been helping South Australians living with disability achieve their goals. In this role, you'll support clients by interpreting and responding to their communication needs, health care plans, and mealtime guidelines, administering medication, and documenting observations. Your contribution will be vital in helping clients reach their full potential and independence goals—perfect for someone who finds joy in seeing others grow and thrive.

Responsibilities

• Support clients by interpreting and responding to communication needs, health care plans, and mealtime guidelines
• Administer prescribed medication and maintain accurate records
• Document observations and communicate changes to the team
• Promote independence, community participation and meaningful relationships
• Provide Hub and In-Home supports in a client and family-centred manner

What You'll Need before starting

• Current NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children Check (must be completed before starting)
• Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or Community Services (or willingness to complete/enrol)
• Child Safe Environments training (Through Your Eyes)
• Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module: Quality, Safety and You
• Competency-based training in Assist Clients with Medication (HLTHPS006 or equivalent obtained within the last 6 months)
• Competency-based Manual Handling training (HLTWHS005 or equivalent obtained within the last 6 months)
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate (including CPR)
• A current valid Driver's Licence

If you are willing to make a career in Disability Sector and ready to undertake Cert III or IV, with no experience, we'd love to see your application.

Remuneration, Benefits and Equity

All Novita employees are required to undertake mandatory training relevant to their role. Support Workers are paid in accordance with the Social, Community Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS).

Total remuneration package includes base salary, annual leave loading and statutory superannuation contribution. Salary packaging options are available, including up to $15,900 of your salary, which may increase your take-home pay. Further salary-packaging benefits include meal and entertainment expenses, accommodation and venue hire, private novated leasing and additional superannuation contributions.
