Overview

Clinical Leader - Community Mental Health, Adult Service (Queanbeyan). This position provides expert clinical services, governance and support to a multidisciplinary team of mental health clinicians, ensuring services are evidence-based with a focus on recovery. Based in Queanbeyan with incentives available under NSW Health Rural Incentive schemes.

What You'll Be Doing

The Clinical Leader provides expert clinical services, clinical governance and support to a multidisciplinary team of mental health clinicians, ensuring the provision of services is evidence-based and with a focus on recovery.

Remuneration and Benefits
  • Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2: $131,870.90 to $134,500.70 per annum
  • Psychologist: $77,358 to $113,226 per annum
  • Senior Psychologist: $119,206 to $129,171 per annum
  • Clinical Psychologist: $109,247 to $133,156 per annum
  • Senior Clinical Psychologist: $139,137 to $147,108 per annum
  • Occupational Therapist Level 4: $121,658 to $124,607 per annum
  • Social Worker Level 4: $121,658 to $124,607 per annum
  • Welfare Officer Level 4: $121,658 to $124,607 per annum

Hours Per Week: 38

Location: Queanbeyan, NSW. Requisition ID: REQ Applications Close: 14 September 2025. Interview Details: Scheduled within 10 days of closing. This position qualifies for NSW Health Rural Incentive scheme with value up to $10,000.

Selection Criteria
  • Tertiary qualifications and current registration with AHPRA for Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists; or tertiary qualifications and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers for Social Workers; or Bachelor of Health Science Mental Health for Welfare Officers.
  • Demonstrated high-level clinical and consultancy skills with post-graduation experience in mental health services. For Registered Nurses: at least 5 years' full-time equivalent postgraduate experience in mental health with postgraduate nursing qualifications or current enrolment/commitment to enrol in an approved postgraduate course within 12 months.
  • Understanding of mental health rehabilitation and recovery with collaborative, strengths-based care approaches.
  • Ability to think critically, solve problems, and make timely, sound clinical decisions autonomously.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervision experience, upholding standards of clinical practice and contributing to policies and procedures.
  • Understanding and application of NSW Mental Health Act
  • Effective communication and collaboration with consumers, families, carers and stakeholders; high computer literacy.
  • Current unrestricted driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
