About the Role:
We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor for our Maintenance Team in Electrode at Portland Aluminium.
Reporting directly to a Maintenance Superintendent and indirectly to the Production Superintendent, this role is responsible for delivering maintenance services and leading a team to achieve this goal.
The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor ensures safe, timely, and cost-effective maintenance of assets, maintaining equipment availability and production capacity, aligned with REX (Reliability Excellence) and ABS (Alcoa Business System) principles.
This role also involves preparing and managing maintenance budgets, tracking costs, and utilizing maintenance software systems.
Your responsibilities include:
- Scheduling and completing maintenance tasks safely and efficiently, meeting safety, quality, and customer requirements.
- Providing leadership, training, and development for your team.
- Managing costs within budgets and reporting variances.
- Planning and executing unscheduled work from breakdowns or backlog.
- Monitoring workloads to optimize labour use.
- Handling industrial relations within your area and developing positive relationships.

What you can bring:
- A Victorian Electricians Licence (A Grade)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Industrial Maintenance or an Engineering Degree
- Experience in heavy manufacturing or continuous production environments is advantageous.
- Experience in supervision, budgeting, forecasting, and maintenance planning software is advantageous.
- Commitment to environment, health, and safety.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and communicate effectively.
- Initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain complex control schemes clearly.
- Willingness to obtain Schedule 26 - Statutory Supervisor accreditation (support provided).
