Electrical Supervisor - Food Manufacturing (Maintenance)

Location: Northern Suburbs | Morning Shift | $65-$70/hr | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

A leading and well-established food manufacturing company in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead maintenance operations on the morning shift. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team and secure a temp-to-perm role with excellent long-term prospects.

The Role

The Electrical Supervisor will oversee a small team of electricians while remaining hands-on with troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement of electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily activities of the electrical maintenance team
  • Perform and oversee preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Lead electrical fault finding and troubleshooting
  • Ensure minimal downtime and maximum plant efficiency
  • Support continuous improvement projects and initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety and site standards
  • Mentor and guide tradespeople and apprentices
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams
  • Maintain accurate records in CMMS systems
  • Ensure adherence to OHS, GMP, HACCP, and site policies
About You
  • Licensed A-Grade Electrician with relevant trade qualifications
  • Previous supervisory or senior maintenance experience in food or FMCG
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, and automation
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Hands-on, proactive approach with solid problem-solving abilities
  • Competent in using CMMS systems
  • Available to work morning shift on a full-time basis
  • Forklift licence and additional qualifications are a plus
