Exciting new opportunity for an Electrical Supervisor to join our Transport division supporting a major roads project
About the Role

Works to revitalise one of Melbourne's busiest transport links, Transurban's 3.4km Burnley Tunnel have commenced. In an Australian-first, the Burnley Tunnel Upgrade Project will see state-of-the-art pacemaker lighting installed to act as visual cues to help drivers maintain a consistent speed, as well as transforming the lighting with brighter, more energy efficient LEDs.

The Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for managing the work crews, both internal and subcontractors, that will carry out the works methodology pertaining to the delivery of the Burnley Tunnel Upgrade Project. The electrical supervisor will provide leadership by safely managing performance of people, work programs, and/or processes. This includes primary responsibility for definition, planning, execution and closing activities necessary to successfully deliver works for the project safely.

Nature of position: 12 Month Maximum Term, Full Time

Location: Collins Street, Melbourne

Reporting Line: Superintendent

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise crews on site involving construction and field works and project delivery
- Provide regular reporting on construction progress
- Provide input into the weekly update to the program
- Manage subcontractor's labour, plant, and equipment availability to execute the works within the required timeframe. Minimise downtime where possible.
- Ensure supply and delivery of required material to the work crews per shift
- Ensure access is organised with external stakeholders
- Manage the performance of work crews. Organise/coordinate workfronts.
- Ensure all Safety, Quality, Environmental, community, sustainability requirements are met as part of development and delivery of all maintenance and field works or project delivery.

About You

To be successful in this role, you have demonstrated experience as a Supervisor with electrical trade experience ideally on industrial and infrastructure projects. You will also demonstrate and possess the following:

- Current Electrical trade license
- Current Driver's license
- Knowledge of asset management is advantageous
- Good knowledge of electrical and lighting systems
- Demonstrated experience in a tunnel environment
- Good communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
