The Role :

The Clinical Nurse Specialist - Data Coordinator is an experienced nurse who, within the defined area of practice :

  • Works in partnership with the relevant clinical leader and/or manager to ensure accurate and timely data is captured from multiple information systems.
  • Provides expert clinical interpretation and analysis of this data to prepare reports, dashboards, and improvement plans that inform decision-making and drive efficiency across perioperative services.
  • Leads the translation of data insights into practical strategies that enhance service delivery, improve patient outcomes, and contribute to ongoing care improvements for Tasmanians.

You will need :

  • Demonstrated clinical experience in the relevant practice area, with the capacity to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgment and initiative, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability and knowledge in data extraction, analysis, and report development.
  • Ability to contribute to the evaluation, innovation, and development of services provided by the unit/service and to review clinical practice policies, procedures, and protocols.

Details of appointment :

Permanent, part-time position, working up to 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

  • Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.

Salary : $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is additional.

  • Salary range in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Additional allowances based on qualification and experience may be available, including:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.

You'll have access to salary packaging benefits including living expenses up to $9,010, $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year, and other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility :

Successful applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.

Desirable criteria include :

  • Holding or working towards relevant postgraduate qualifications.
  • Experience in surgical, burns, oncology, critical care, or emergency nursing.
  • Experience in data management or clinical research environments.
