The Department of Health seeks qualified applicants for the position of Clinical Nurse Specialist - CATT L1). This role is also advertised as Allied Health Professional - CATT d); only one position will be filled based on merit.

The Role:
Work within the North region, collaborating with community mental health, inpatient services, alcohol and drug services, and community providers to improve outcomes for individuals with mental health concerns, including emergency department presentations. Provide coordinated case management, crisis intervention, assessments, and care planning in community and ED settings. Act as a clinical resource and support strategic initiatives.
The Duties:
- Demonstrate high-level mental health clinical expertise.
- Exhibit advanced communication, liaison, and counselling skills within a multidisciplinary team.
- Understand relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act, and adhere to policies and procedures.

Details of appointment:
Permanent part-time, shift work, 68 hours per fortnight, starting ASAP. Hours are negotiable.
Note: The selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies for up to 12 months.
Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (pro-rata), plus 12% superannuation.
Salary Packaging:
Access to salary packaging benefits, including living expenses up to $9,010 and meal entertainment up to $2,650 annually, plus other benefits if eligible.
Additional allowances may include:
- Post Graduate Allowance up to 10% based on qualifications.

Applicants must meet essential criteria:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia and relevant postgraduate mental health qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Valid driver's license.
Desirable criteria include extensive psychiatric nursing experience, credentialing, relevant tertiary qualifications, and five+ years postgraduate experience.
