Clinical Nurse Specialist Job Overview

As a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work across various healthcare settings, including community, inpatient, acute, and more. Your role will involve providing comprehensive care to patients with mental health needs, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

You will be responsible for managing daily assessments, administering medication, and collaborating with teams to help stabilise and rehabilitate patients on their path to recovery. This dynamic role allows you to broaden your experience and develop advanced clinical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing comprehensive care to patients with mental health needs
  • Managing daily assessments and administering medication as needed
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes
  • Developing and implementing effective treatment plans to meet individual patient needs

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA without restrictions
  • A minimum of 5 years in mental health nursing, particularly in case management
  • Excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with patients and team members
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • A valid driver's license for regional and remote roles
  • Willingness to commit to travel nursing contracts in regional/remote areas for at least 12 weeks
