Opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Perth team at Wave International.

Wave International is a resource development firm with approximately 25 years of global experience in engineering, project delivery, project and asset management. We provide project strategies and solutions across battery minerals, mineral sands, bulk commodities, and more.

An opportunity exists for a Mechanical Project Engineer to work at our Perth Office with ad hoc/short-term site visits to client sites. This role is ideal for a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with experience in the mining resources sector. It offers the chance to tackle complex challenges and collaborate with a dynamic, diverse team on high-impact projects.

Position Information & Skill Requirements:
  • Office and site-based experience on projects, preferably with an EPCM or consultancy background.
  • Familiarity with the design process and drawing management from concept to delivery.
  • Maintain transparent communication with clients and Wave International to ensure ongoing, supportive relationships.
  • Writing and reviewing internal documentation to ensure quality management.
  • Assist in coordinating work across departments as per project requirements.
  • Review monthly progress reports, invoices, claims, and variations.
  • Prepare tender documentation, including scope of works, and evaluate tenders.
  • Review schedules and expedite deliverables from the design team.
  • Balance technical ability with consulting skills.
  • Proven engineering experience in a consultancy and/or site role.
