About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team at Kaefer Integrated Services Pty Ltd. In this full-time role based on a 19:9 Roster from Perth, you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of complex mechanical engineering projects. This is a strategic position that will have a significant impact on the growth and success of our business.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop innovative solutions
  • Oversee the design, planning, and implementation of mechanical systems and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and safety protocols
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, and implement effective contingency plans
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the project team, mentoring and developing junior engineers
  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and other documentation to keep stakeholders informed

What we're looking for

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Mechanical Project Engineer role, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects
  • Strong technical expertise in the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, coordinate, and monitor multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues quickly
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
