About Us

Australia's natural and cultural heritage is unique, featuring diverse landscapes, rare flora and fauna, and some of the world's oldest cultures. The Director of National Parks oversees six national parks, the Australian National Botanic Gardens, and marine reserves, supported by Parks Australia, a division of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water. Our mission is to showcase these wonders, inspire community engagement, and promote conservation.

Team and Responsibilities

The CFO and Corporate Services branch provides essential corporate services. The Communication, Marketing and Tourism Section collaborates across divisions and with Traditional Owners, focusing on media, marketing, e-commerce, tourism policy, and destination planning.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to development and implementation of tourism policies, projects, and strategies.
  2. Support strategic tourism planning and policy development.
  3. Assist in managing commercial tourism activities and authorizations.
  4. Prepare visitor insights reports from surveys and ticketing data.
  5. Draft briefs, reports, correspondence, minutes, and agendas.
  6. Collaborate with park staff and stakeholders to enhance visitor experiences.
