About the Role :
We're seeking a skilled Senior Officer to support the Student Admin Fees Team in delivering high-quality administrative services, with a strong focus on student fees, financial transactions, and reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong numerical and financial experience in a student administration or university setting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Essential : Proven experience in student fee payments, processing refunds, and managing financial transactions. A solid understanding of university fee structures and the ability to work confidently with numbers is critical.
- Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new student management systems.
- Interpret and provide advice on complex student fee rules, policies, and entitlements.
- Apply expertise in regulations to make decisions or support a team in delivering core administrative services.
- Monitor, maintain, and generate internal and external financial reports and student records.
- Deliver specialist administrative support to achieve team and department objectives.
- Communicate effectively across departments and external stakeholders to resolve fee Fee related queries.
- Provide clear, professional advice to inform decision-making and influence best practices across the team.
- Identify and recommend improvements to processes, including contributing to system enhancements, training materials, and service delivery models.
- Support the execution of student lifecycle activities including fees, enrolments, curriculum management, results, graduations, and reporting.
- Take ownership of fee-related cases through the Connect Academic system, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Contribute to developing team procedures and knowledge-sharing tools.
- Monitor workloads, flag risks, and escalate emerging issues to the Coordinator, Academic Services.
- Provide exceptional customer service to students and staff, maintaining response times in line with SLAs.
- Extract data and prepare analytical reports for senior stakeholders, using university systems.
Skills and Experience :
Essential : Strong financial acumen and experience handling student fees, payments, refunds, and financial transactions within a university or education sector context.Proven ability to understand and interpret complex policies, systems, and procedures.Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.Confident working both independently and collaboratively within a team.Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), databases, and student management systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.A collaborative team player with a commitment to continuous improvement and best practice.Ability to identify issues and risks, propose solutions, and adapt to changing priorities with professionalism and resilience .Requirements :
Must hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working With Children Check
