Apprentice Electrical & Instrumentation – Certificate III in Electrotechnology & Certificate III in Instrumentation & Control

  • 60 Month Maximum Term Full Time, 9-day fortnight

  • APE1CZ – APE15C ($45,192 - $47,134 per annum + superannuation) based on schooling level completion
  • Adult (over 21 upon commencement) AP75CZ $61,441 per annum + superannuation
About the Role

Under close supervision from industry professionals, this position undertakes a competency-based apprenticeship to develop a range of skills in electrical services through formal and on-the-job learning activities. This position will assist with installation, repairs, maintenance and modification of electrical equipment including electric motors, industrial instrumentation, installations and commercial/domestic repairs.

This position consists of completing a 3-year Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician qualification and an additional 2 years completing a Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control at TAFE North Queensland. This position is expected to commence in February 2026.

About You

In an ideal applicant, we are looking for:

  • Willingness to be part of, and promote, a positive safety culture whilst adhering to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Minimum completed Year 10 with passes in English and Mathematics.
  • Minimum of Queensland C class provisional driver's licence (or ability to obtain).
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound computer skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Willingness to undertake the requirements to successfully complete the associated qualification.
