Minelec is an established Electrical Contracting and Engineering company based out of Townsville for over 30 years. We provide a diverse range of standard and specialised Electrical services to businesses primarily throughout Central and Northern Queensland within the mining, industrial and commercial sectors.

We are looking for a highly motivated and eager-to-learn individual to join our team in Townsville as a First-Year Electrical Apprentice, commencing in January 2026.

  • Positioned in town on commercial and industrial works and or
  • Positioned on Projects working away, FIFO/DIDO on various rosters.

As a First-Year Electrical Apprentice, you will work closely with experienced electricians, learning the skills and gaining the knowledge necessary to excel in the electrical trade. Your construction-based duties as an apprentice include works associated with installation, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment across a broad range of sites in the commercial, industrial, and Mining industries.
