ELECTRICAL SERVICES TECHNICIAN Work for an Australian owned brand offering more than just a job; we are offering a lifestyle upgrade We have a unique opportunity for an Electrical Services Technician to join our Engineering and Services division on Stunning Hamilton Island Hamilton Island generates, transmits and distributes electricity, supplies water and wastewater treatment services across the entire Island for the benefit of residents, guests, employees and our community.
Hamilton Island owns and operates our electrical distribution network comprising a 22km-long submarine high voltage power cable from the mainland, 50 kiosk substations, and a backup power station.
Your Role A unique opportunity exists for an Electrical Services Technician.
This valuable role contributes as a member of a team to perform installation and commissioning, maintenance and repairs of Hamilton Island's electrical distribution network in a timely manner, ensuring a high standard of product quality and safety.
Maintain and operate High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical networks Maintain and operate backup diesel generation Plant Install, joint, terminate HV and LV cabling Maintain airport runway lighting systems Test/audit electrical installations First responder to passengers trapped in lifts.
Prioritise urgent repairs for guest safety and satisfaction Form part of an on-call roster rotation that addresses out of hours breakdowns as necessary Tasked with the upkeep and repair of hazardous area equipment, specifically the island's fuel systems Attend to the electrical needs of our water and sewerage plants Read and maintain the island's electrical energy meters Why you'll love working with us Live on a tropical island and use your days off to recharge your batteries, exploring hidden trails, be in or out on the water, soak up the sun or just relax and enjoy the island vibes.
