Are you ready to work on exciting infrastructure projects that make a real impact? WSP is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join our Power & Energy Group. In this role, you will be seconded full-time in one of our key programs.

What You'll Be Working On
  • You'll contribute to concept and detailed electrical design drafting across a range of projects, including:
  • Wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs)
  • Water and wastewater pumping stations
  • Wastewater Network Renewal
  • Reservoir Renewal and Improvements
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare engineering drawings from sketches, calculations, and specifications
  • Support the electrical design team in developing project designs
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure cohesive design integration
  • Manage project setup and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
  • Analyse client requirements to ensure all specifications are captured
  • Apply quality control processes to maintain drawing accuracy and compliance
About You
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or above
  • Experience in a consulting environment (highly regarded)
  • Strong drafting and detailing skills
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (12D experience is a plus)
  • Experience in transmission secondary design and water infrastructure
  • Skilled in interpreting engineering designs and producing layouts, schematics, and general arrangements
  • MicroStation experience is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
