The Role
We're looking for a senior engineer with strong DevOps and backend skills to join our small, high-performing team. This is a hybrid role where you'll work across backend development and cloud infrastructure, directly shaping how we scale. You'll have real ownership, work closely with our CTO and full-stack engineers, and see the immediate impact of your work.

What you'll work on

DevOps & infrastructure – Manage and scale our cloud hosting (GCP migrated from OVH) to support tens of thousands of active learners worldwide. Maintain high uptime, improve performance, and prepare the platform for 10x growth.

CI/CD & automation – Optimise our pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket), streamline deployments, and enhance container orchestration with Kubernetes.

Backend development – Build and maintain high-performance backend services in Node.js (Loopback), PostgreSQL, and Redis.

APIs & integrations – Design, improve, and integrate APIs to power AI-driven course creation.

Front-end collaboration – Support and enhance our AngularJS v1 front-end, while contributing to our plan to modernise the stack over time.

Security & best practices – Ensure our systems are secure, reliable, and scalable.

What we're looking for

Strong DevOps experience with CI/CD, GCP (+legacy OVH/AWS migration), Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes

Solid backend development skills in Node.js (Loopback preferred), PostgreSQL, and Redis

Familiarity with AngularJS v1 or willingness to work with it as we transition to a modern framework (underway)

Experience using AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or ChatGPT

A startup mindset — you move fast, adapt quickly, and solve problems independently

An interest in AI, APIs, and SaaS products for training and corporate learning
