About The Opportunity

We're expanding our Nexus software team and looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Perth-based team.

This role is key to ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of our development and deployment environments. You'll work closely with software development teams to automate and optimise our CI/CD processes, manage cloud infrastructure, and enhance system reliability.

This is a great opportunity to bring DevOps principles into real-world application as part of our ongoing innovation journey.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code practices
  • Design, implement and manage CI/CD pipelines
  • Integrate security practices into the CI/CD pipeline
  • Develop tools to monitor cloud spend and enforce budget-aware practices
  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline build, deployment, and monitoring
  • Automate operational tasks and improve efficiency
  • Monitor and optimise system performance and reliability

About You

You'll bring a strong DevOps mindset and technical know-how to the table. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy using automation and modern tools to improve engineering processes.

Key skills and experience:

  • Strong previous experience as a DevOps engineer (or similar)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS preferred)
  • Proficiency in IaC tools (e.g. Terraform or CloudFormation)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps
  • Exposure to mining or resources sector is a bonus
