We are seeking a seasoned Mining Application Engineer with over 10 years of experience in mining equipment management and a proven ability to design innovative mining solutions. This role is ideal for driving client success while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Based in Perth, you will serve as a key liaison between clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop tailored mining solutions, including equipment selection, fleet optimization, and automation strategies.
  2. Lead client consultations to assess operational challenges and propose cost-effective, sustainable solutions.
  3. Prepare detailed technical proposals, feasibility studies, and ROI analyses for mining projects.
  4. Collaborate with engineering, sales, and R&D teams to align solutions with client needs.
  5. Stay abreast of industry advancements (e.g., autonomous systems, digitalization) to enhance service offerings.
  6. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, MSHA).
  7. 5+ years in mining equipment management, preferably with Tier 1 companies (BHP, Rio Tinto, FMG, South32, Mineral Resources) or mining service providers.
  8. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MATLAB, or similar tools.
  9. Strong communication skills for technical reporting and client presentations.
  10. Deep understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
  11. Based in Perth or willing to relocate.

Preferred:

  1. Experience with autonomous haulage systems, IoT, or data-driven optimization.
  2. Project management certification (PMP, (PE) license or RPEQ certification).
