Our opportunity
As a Regional Services Technician, you will be an integral part of the Digital team responsible for the effective support of the day-to-day technology needs of our site and project teams, ensuring they receive an exceptional level of support.
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Address the day-to-day support needs of our business users by following the Service Delivery Framework to provide an exceptional level of support for incident, service request, change, and problem management.
- Attend to end-user requests and incidents received via escalations from ConnectIT, including imaging laptops, printer support, AV components/requests, local servers (where applicable), and AD / Office 365 services.
- Carry out scheduled maintenance and health checks of sites in the state.
- Record accurate information relating to site visits, unit replacements, defective parts, and equipment repairs.
- Attend sites and conduct diagnostics and fault finding.
- Perform installs, moves, adds, and changes as required.
- Visit main offices and other state-based offices to assist where required, building strong business relationships.
- Understand the needs of the business for new office setups and collaborate with relevant teams to ensure timely setup of office services.
- Maintain communication rooms/cabinets and associated components (including A/C, UPS), keeping these rooms uncluttered.
- Work with the Network Services team on network matters and service improvements.
- Manage and maintain the Remote Device Management tool used by ConnectIT.
- Assist ConnectIT by attending to end-user requests received via phone, email, portal, and walk-ups, as guided by reporting managers.
- Escalate requests to support teams promptly when necessary.
Your point of difference
To succeed in this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience in technical support, with an additional 2+ years in Level 2 or Desktop support, including troubleshooting network-related issues.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential, as the role involves regular travel across Sydney.
- Deep experience in identity management, administering Microsoft Office 365, and Active Directory.
- TAFE or tertiary qualification in Information Technology.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to utilize tools to identify solutions.
- Knowledge of AutoPilot & Company Portal Software deployment.
- Deep understanding of ITIL concepts and applying them through ITSM tools.
- Highest levels of integrity and confidentiality, with a strong customer focus.
- Empathy and excellent stakeholder management skills.
