About the Role

As a Territory Manager at Halter, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and ensuring customer success within your designated territory. You will be responsible for executing sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, and meeting ambitious growth targets, all while acting as Halter's on-the-ground representative. This role requires a proactive and hands-on approach, with a focus on both expansion and long-term customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Prospecting and expansion: Source new leads and opportunities through proactive outreach, referrals, industry events, and other channels; manage the full sales pipeline from lead generation through to close.
  • Hitting sales targets: Manage your pipeline and meet high-growth sales targets by screening, qualifying, demonstrating the product, and successfully negotiating contracts with customers.
  • Customer account management: After the sale, maintain close relationships with customers to ensure ongoing satisfaction, provide support, and address challenges; ensure a smooth handoff from sales to onboarding and deployment of Halter.
  • Territory ownership: Take ownership of your territory by working with regional agricultural groups to foster deep relationships across the beef industry.
  • Customer onboarding: Own the end-to-end customer experience during onboarding and deployment of Halter's product.
  • Field learnings and feedback: Gather customer feedback in your territory and work with Support, Product, and R&D to drive product improvements.
  • Collaborating with support teams: Partner with the Support Team to resolve customer issues quickly and ensure territory-wide support.
Who we're looking for
  • Sales and customer success expertise: Value-based sales experience with a proven track record of creating opportunities, closing deals, and building lasting customer relationships; experience upselling to grow partnerships.
  • Beef industry experience: Knowledge of beef operations and their challenges; if not, strong willingness to learn rapidly through field exposure.
  • Attitude: You bring energy and accountability, thrive under pressure, and help others perform at their best.
  • Territory management: Ability to manage a large territory with a balanced focus on sales and customer success; make thoughtful trade-offs.
  • Problem solving and collaboration: Resourceful, quick-thinking, and able to work with cross-functional teams to address challenges.
  • Willingness to travel: Frequent travel within your territory to engage with customers and prospects.
What your day could look like
  • Prospecting and expansion: Source new leads through outreach, referrals, events, and inbound queries; manage the full sales pipeline from lead to close.
  • Hitting sales targets: Qualify, demo the product, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet growth targets.
  • Customer account management: Maintain relationships post-sale, provide support, and ensure successful onboarding and deployment; ensure a smooth handoff from sales to onboarding.
  • Territory ownership: Build strong relationships with regional agricultural groups and drive engagement across the beef industry.
  • Customer onboarding: Own the end-to-end onboarding and deployment experience for Halter's product.
  • Field feedback: Gather insights from customers and share with Support, Product, and R&D to influence product improvements.
  • Collaboration with Support: Work with Support to resolve issues quickly and ensure customers feel supported.

Location

Location - This role is based anywhere in the Burnett region of Queensland. Frequent travel is required as part of the position.
