About the role:

Norco is looking to appoint a territory manager in one of our key heartland regions. As such we are looking for someone who can deliver exceptional service to our existing customer base and drive incremental growth in our dairy business portfolio which is regularly adding new products to our already well established and award-winning dairy milk range.

Reporting to the National Field Sales Manager and working within our hardworking and professional sales team, you will be a self-starter and capitalise on your previous experience in the independent retail and distributor channels.

This role involvesachieving sales targets through your authentic and genuine business relationships with each store in your designated territory. You will service accounts in the Northern NSW and Gold Coast territory. You will also work on business quarterly plans, utilising your territory and product insights. This role also requires a high level of relationship development, listening and verbal communication skills with both internal and external customers and the ability to negotiate successful outcomes for our customers and Norco alike.

Responsibilities:

  • Present, promote and sell products/services to existing and prospective customers
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Reach out to customer needs through cold calling
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within agreed time frame
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, competitive activities and potential for new products and services
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Continuously improve through feedback.

Selection Criteria:

  • Proven work experience as a sales representative within FMCG Route channel
  • Sound computer skills and experience in using a Customer Relationship database
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiating skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organization skills
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Barista or coffee bean knowledge would be an advantage.
  • An interest in consumer trends and a knowledge of local customer demographics
