The Smith Family is a national, independent charity focused on helping young Australians overcome educational inequality caused by poverty. They have worked for 100 years and supported thousands of children and families across 91 communities to unlock better futures.
Two Philanthropy Manager roles are now available in Sydney. Reporting to the Senior Philanthropy Manager, each Philanthropy Manager will cultivate and grow meaningful relationships with Major Donors/HNWI and Philanthropic Advisors & Wealth Managers. In addition to managing their portfolio of active supporters, they will be responsible for driving income growth through prospective pipeline development; thoughtful stewardship and strategic engagement using a combination of innovative and best practice donor management techniques.

- Cultivate and grow relationships with Major Donors/HNWI and Philanthropic Advisors & Wealth Managers
- Manage your portfolio of active supporters and drive income growth through prospective pipeline development
- Apply thoughtful stewardship and strategic engagement using innovative and best practice donor management techniques
About You
- 3+ years of fundraising experience in the NFP sector,
- Track record of meeting and exceeding financial targets by attracting new donors,
- Experience in pitching and presenting to HNWIs, PAFs and wealth managers with a Moves Management or CRM database
- Strong relationship building with an understanding of best practice in engagement management models
- Outstanding communication and persuasive skills, able to be a compelling storyteller and do the ask
- You have a creative and innovative approach to fundraising practice
- High level of experience in successful prospecting
- Excellent written communication skills, along with well-developed influential and problem-solving skills
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline or demonstrable transferable skills in a similar role
