About the Role
This isn't a role for someone who wants to keep the lights on.
This is a role for the builder, the dealmaker, the strategist who wants to put their fingerprints on a market expansion that will reshape mining payload solutions in Latin America.
As Vice President – Business Development – Latin America, you'll have the reins of growth across Peru, Chile, Brazil, Colombia and Argentina. You'll take a global powerhouse in mining equipment and turn our ambition into reality on the ground. Reporting directly to the President of Schlam Americas, this is your platform to create something big, bold and lasting.
What You'll Be Doing
- Be the face of Schlam in Latin America – walking mine sites, sitting with executives and forging the relationships that move millions of dollars' worth of equipment.
- Drive the expansion strategy – not follow it but write it. You'll design and execute a multi-year plan that delivers real growth and serious market share.
- Turn conversations into contracts – secure firm orders that keep our production pipeline humming and our competitors chasing.
- Collaborate with global leaders across engineering, supply chain and manufacturing to deliver more than products. You'll deliver game-changing outcomes.
- Represent the brand at industry events, boardrooms and mine sites positioning Schlam as the name in payload solutions.
- Spend up to 50% of your time in the field, leading from the front where the action is.
You're not just experienced, you're proven. You've closed big deals, built markets and know how to navigate boardrooms in Santiago, São Paulo, Lima, Bogotá and beyond with equal confidence.
- 10+ years' success in capital mining equipment sales and service.
- A track record of winning business across Latin America that mining executives will recognize and respect.
- Deep knowledge of trucks, loaders, excavators and how to sell them at scale.
- Degree-qualified (MBA preferred) with the mine safety certs to walk into any site.
- Entrepreneurial. Relentless. Commercially astute. You run your patch like it's your own business.
