Whether it's one of our five warm and welcoming residential aged care homes or our in-home individualized care and services provider, RAAFA HomeCare, we are in the business of people looking after people.

RAAFA HomeCare is seeking Qualified and Domestic Community Support Workers to support our clients to maintain their well-being and independence.
  • As a Qualified Community Support Worker, you will be assisting clients with personal care, shopping, meal preparation, domestic assistance, social support, transportation to appointments and extended respite services.
  • As a Domestic Community Support Worker, you will be assisting clients with general housework to ensure their home environment remains clean and organised.

Whether as a Qualified or Domestic Community Support Worker with RAAFA HomeCare, you will become part of the client's support system and build a positive relationship with them and their families.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies (fixed term, casual or permanent) that arise within the next 6 months from date of first appointment.

About The Role
  • A rewarding role working with clients across the Perth Metropolitan area.
  • Support Clients to remain living at home.
  • Assist with client's personal care.
  • Ensuring client's home environment remains clean and organised.
  • Assist in the preparation of meals for the clients.
  • Provide support to clients by assisting with shopping.
  • Support the clients socially and domestically while creating a positive rapport.
  • Encourage and promote the independence and freedom of choice of clients.

What You Need
  • Possess a Certificate III in Individual Support Aged Care (essential for a Qualified role).
  • Previous experience working in the community or Residential Aged Care.
  • A valid driver's licence with access to your own vehicle.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to relate to the elderly with empathy and understand their needs.
  • Demonstrate flexible decision making and advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise work tasks.
  • Enjoy building positive relationships with clients and their families.
  • Be eligible to work in Australia.
  • Satisfactory National Police Certificate (on commencement of employment to be within six months from date of issue) or willing to obtain one.
  • Be up to date with your COVID 19 and flu vaccinations.
