Overview

SG Fleet AU – Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia. We are seeking a Fleet Manager to be the first point of contact for customer requests and to proactively manage and review the portfolio of customers allocated. The role focuses on maximise renewals and organic growth, and supports Relationship Managers to deliver outstanding customer service while understanding customer needs.

Responsibilities
  • In consultation with the Relationship Manager, proactively manage the portfolio of customers to deliver professional fleet management services, acting as the primary day-to-day contact for all client requests and ensuring contractual obligations and KPIs are met, with performance measurements available on request.
  • Capture all business potential of clients and maximise renewals while improving margins. Support the Relationship Manager to upsell other products and services to existing clients. Introduce value-adding initiatives to strengthen the client relationship.
  • Regularly review a client's fleet through effective reporting; address exceptions by managing key reports such as odometer readings, utilisation, services due/overdue, fuel and surplus vehicle reporting, and seek opportunities to reduce costs through better fleet optimization.
  • Prepare quotations within required turnaround times and record outcomes via the won/lost business template.
  • Proactively manage future vehicle terminations and restructures in line with best practice fleet management.
  • Build rapport with clients by understanding needs and seek opportunities for revenue growth, including fee uplift. Where applicable, maintain a client strategy document and support a structured client visitation program.
Skills and Experience
  • High school certificate or any tertiary qualification in a business-related field or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role.
  • Business acumen and commercial awareness.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills; ability to meet deadlines and report progress.
  • Effective verbal and written communication with good listening and probing skills.
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to resolve problems in a timely and effective manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • High attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of fleet management products, services, systems and processes is desirable.
