Fleet managers are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a company's fleet of vehicles.

About the Role

This is a professional position that requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a high level of technical knowledge regarding vehicle maintenance and logistics.

  • The primary goal of a fleet manager is to maximize efficiency and minimize costs while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.
Responsibilities
  1. Manage the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of all vehicles in the fleet, including routine maintenance, repairs, and replacement of vehicles as needed.
  2. Develop and implement strategies for improving fuel efficiency, reducing waste, and increasing productivity throughout the organization.
  3. Monitor and analyze data related to fleet performance, including fuel consumption, vehicle utilization, and employee safety records.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all fleet-related activities, including vehicle history, maintenance schedules, and driver qualifications.
  5. Develop and manage budgets for fleet operations, including procurement, maintenance, and insurance expenses.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a management role.
  • At least 5 years of experience in fleet management or a related field, preferably in a senior or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including employees, customers, vendors, and government agencies.
