About The Role

Step into a key role as a Contracts Administrator, where you'll be instrumental in the delivery of a high-value self-storage and industrial complex in Western Sydney, as well as a dynamic Regional development featuring multiple retail tenancies—with more landmark projects in the pipeline. Working closely with the Project Manager, you'll lead the charge in contract administration, cost control, and stakeholder engagement to ensure project excellence. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and manage contracts to ensure full compliance with legal standards, company policies, and project-specific requirements.
  • Assist in the end-to-end tendering process, including preparing tender packages, reviewing and evaluating subcontractor quotations, and providing recommendations to the Project Manager.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, correspondence, and financial records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for all stakeholders.
  • Act as a key liaison between clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate clear communication and efficient contract execution throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor contract performance, proactively manage variations and claims, and track project costs to support project financial health and timely delivery.
  • Assist with financial administration by preparing budgets, forecasting cash flow, generating reports, and tracking costs, while supporting the project team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

About You

You will be a detail-oriented Contracts Administrator with strong experience managing large-scale, industrial/commercial construction contracts and a proven ability to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards. This position requires an individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure project success. We're seeking a proactive team player who embodies and upholds the core values of Akura. You can demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in contract administration within the construction industry, preferably industrial projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, regulatory requirements, and project management processes
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Proficiency in Procore, 1Breadcrumb and MS Office Suite are desirable
