This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 4, 2025

The School
Warnbro Community High School (WCHS) is seeking a highly motivated and effective Humanities and Social Sciences (HaSS) Teacher.
Our moral purpose is 'to make a positive difference to the lives of young people'. As a teacher at WCHS you will be part of a professional learning community committed to engaging in practice supported by evidence and research to best meet the need of our students. WCHS is embedding an explicit teaching approach across all Learning Areas
The successful applicant should have high expectations, exhibit a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. They will ideally be experienced and knowledgeable in teaching HaSS, as well as being flexible and adaptive to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching.

The Role
You should set high expectations and can establish and maintain a dynamic and positive classroom learning environment. You will be a passionate teacher of HaSS with a proven ability to engage students across all levels. It would be desirable to have
- Experience with ATAR courses
- The capacity to deliver Senior School courses is highly desirable.
- Value collaboration and personal professional development and are committed to lifelong learning
- Actively seek and respond to feedback
- Show resilience and self-awareness
- Understand the impact of trauma on learning and adolescent development
- Seek to foster positive relationships with our students, their families and our wider networks
- Maintain school wide consistent practices and coach/mentor staff to achieve these
