This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 4, 2025

The School

Warnbro Community High School (WCHS) is seeking a highly motivated and effective Science Teacher.

The Role

You should ideally set high expectations and can establish and maintain a dynamic and positive classroom learning environment. You will ideally be a passionate teacher of Science with a proven ability to engage students across all levels. It would be desirable to have

  • Experience with ATAR courses.
  • Familiarity with Senior Science courses (e.g., Human Biology, Psychology) and the lower school science curriculum (Years 7-10).

Situated 50 km south of Perth, WCHS is located in the beach-side communities of Warnbro and Port Kennedy. WCHS provides a vibrant and nurturing learning environment that takes a holistic approach to the growth and development of our students. WCHS is focused on improving student outcomes through meeting students at their point of need.

The successful applicant should have high expectations, exhibit a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. They will ideally be experienced and knowledgeable in teaching Science, as well as being flexible and adaptive to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching.
