Senior Mechanical / Piping Engineer

Perth | 12-Month Contract | Up to $120/hr for the right candidate

We're seeking a Senior Mechanical / Piping Engineer to join a leading engineering team on a long-term contract supporting a portfolio of sustaining capital projects across WA's mining sector.

About the role:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager and Project Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering support on a diverse range of projects, including studies and sustaining capital works across WA's major iron ore operations.

This role requires a versatile engineer with a strong background across both mechanical and piping disciplines, capable of contributing not only to detailed design but also to studies, proposals, and the development of technical scopes.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering input into sustaining capital and study projects
  • Deliver designs and technical documentation across mechanical and piping systems
  • Engage in concept studies and feasibility assessments
  • Support proposals and add value through continuous technical input
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions
About you:
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or related)
  • 10+ years' experience in mechanical/piping engineering
  • Strong background across stackers, crushers, conveyors, chutes, wet & dry plants, and hydraulics
  • Previous experience in sustaining capital and brownfield projects
  • Ability to work across both design and study environments
