Location: Bankstown, NSW (Full-time in-office)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Initial 3-month contract (view to extension or permanency)

About the Company

My client is an established aged care provider seeking an experienced Head of Finance to support the business through a period of change. Reporting directly to the CEO the focus is on continuity, team stability, and ensuring smooth finance operations through audit and BAU.

About the Role

  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including external audits
  • Oversee general ledger functions and maintain robust internal controls.
  • Lead and support a finance team of six (including accounts receivable, payroll, and accounting staff based locally and offshore)
  • Deliver monthly management reports for meetings with the COO and CEO
  • Support the business through audit preparation and execution
  • Maintain and enhance existing Excel-based reporting
  • Coordinate with offshored accounts payable and payroll functions
  • Ensure compliance, financial controls, and systems are maintained
About You
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Background in aged care or not-for-profit finance leadership preferred
  • Practical, people-focused leader with strong interpersonal skills
  • Hands-on and operational - this is not a strategic or transformation-focused CFO role
  • Strong Excel and reporting capability; familiarity with Epicor and Monday.com is beneficial
  • Experience managing small finance teams and working with offshore support
  • Available to work full-time from the Bankstown office (onsite parking provided);
