Role Overview UMENCO is seeking an experienced Head of Finance for an Australian brand who design travel-inspired swimwear and resortwear.
The Head of Finance will take a key leadership role at the heart of the brand's business operations.
The successful talent will be accountable for the integrity, compliance and clarity of the brands financial reporting, while leading the month-end close process and managing a high-performance finance team.
This is a hands-on position where the talents insights and oversight will directly support business strategy and performance.
The Head of Finance will oversee the delivery of accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets and reconciliations, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business.
Alongside this, the successful talent will lead and develop the internal finance function – implementing clear structures, assigning responsibilities and ensuring daily operations such as payroll, accounts payable /receivable and journal adjustments are completed to a high standard.
A core part of the role involves maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations, including BAS, PAYG, superannuation and international tax matters.
The Chief of Finance will also be responsible for upholding internal controls and maintaining clear documentation.
Working closely with senior leadership, the successful talent will deliver actionable insights through regular reporting, managing cash flow forecasting and lead the planning and budgeting processes.
In addition, the successful talent will be the finance lead across various systems and operational improvement projects – whether implementing a new ERP system, enhancing inventory workflows, or building custom reporting dashboards.
With a focus on continuous improvement and data integrity, this role will contribute to strategic initiatives such as international expansion and broader business transformation.
